Born from the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Mission Mules represents a remarkable testament to the power of compassion and resilience.

What began as a spontaneous leap of faith by Mountain Mule Packers — venturing into the rugged, inaccessible terrain of Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee with their team of mules – has evolved into a lasting organization dedicated to disaster relief and community rebuilding.

Our unique approach leverages the unparalleled capabilities of the mules that are able to navigate challenging landscapes impassable to vehicles, enabling us to reach isolated communities cut off from conventional aid.

We deliver essential supplies – food, water, medical equipment, and other vital necessities – to those most in need following natural disasters. But our mission extends far beyond the logistical. We strive to offer not only immediate relief but also enduring hope and encouragement.

Rooted in our Christian faith, our work is guided by a deep commitment to selfless service. We see ourselves as bearers of both physical and spiritual sustenance, striving to be a beacon of light in times of darkness. The unwavering support of dedicated volunteers and generous donors has been instrumental in our success, allowing us to expand our reach and impact.

The initial call to action, a simple yet profound “Pack it up and Follow the Lord,” remains our guiding principle.
