We have been in communication with the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management in Jamaica to coordinate them receiving the food and water we will be bringing through the incredible support of our partner agency, Orphan Grain Train, Inc.
There are many moving parts to providing swift aid to people in need. As we saw with Hurricane Helene, it’s even more challenging when infrastructures are compromised. We are grateful God puts us on the paths to deliver the most important help we can.
What a blessing to be able to go share fresh water and food with those suffering, while reminding them that they are cared for and not forgotten. So grateful to Orphan Grain Train, Inc. for jumping right alongside us to get these important assets to Jamaica.
Because our mules will remain in the US for this trip, we will assess accessibility needs and utilize local animals to pack supplies if needed.
